Rethinking Hand Sanitizer
I love hand sanitizer! But knowing that it is made up mostly of alcohol, plus the fact that Tallen will taste anything that smells floral or sweet, I keep my bottles in a locked cabinet. However, the little purse size bottles now give me more pause, as I carry them and so do the older girls. Tallen has never been one to go through our purses, but what if he did? A friend sent me the link to a Snopes report this morning, telling of cases of alcohol poisoning in children who ingested a small amount of hand sanitizer. I know the schools absolutely beg to have gallons of this sent in by parents each year. I worry how well they are watching their bottles. Here is the link to the story...

This is a scary topic. I don't have any younger kids anymore but we all really have to be aware of this. I try to keep only really small bottles in my purse.
